2026 HERA Virtual Conference: February 25–27
The Essential Humanities in Practice and Perseverance
In keeping with HERA’s mission of promoting the study of the humanities across a wide range of disciplines and interdisciplinary studies, we invite presentations for the 2026 conference. Submissions are encouraged from educators at all levels (including undergraduate and graduate students) as well as all those with an interest in the arts and humanities.

Submissions
Proposals for papers, panels, or workshops (150–200 words) must be submitted through the conference e-submission links. Submissions are processed on a first come, first served basis, and decision notifications are sent within one to two weeks of submission.
Registration & Fees
After receiving confirmation of acceptance, participants can pay conference registration and membership fees via PayPal or by check.
For payment by check, complete the Conference Registration & Membership Fee form and make your check payable to HERA in U.S. dollars.

Undergraduate Humanities Diversity Award
Panels involving applicants for the Undergraduate Humanities Diversity Award will be recorded for judging purposes.
HERA awards $500 for the best undergraduate conference paper addressing issues of race, ethnicity, gender, or sexuality. Creative presentations, readings, and exhibitions are also welcome.
